The Oasis frontman made the remark on X after a fan praised the band's 'SEVEN great albums', adding 'I mean happy birthday' as a sign-off. Last month he said the band would talk about new music if the Oasis Live '27 tour goes well. He has also said Oasis are unlikely to tour again without new songs. Fans have spent years begging Liam and Noel to return to the studio.

Liam once said matching their 1990s classics would be 'too much' pressure.

He feared a flop that failed to 'turn back time for Cher'.

'Wonderwall' and 'Champagne Supernova' helped define a generation.
