Lime Bike joust winner says he 'closed his eyes' before knocking his rival off in a Hackney park

Artist Jack Carden won the best-of-three duel against actor Camtholomew the First at London Fields on Saturday. Both men wore armour, cloaks and visors and charged with spears on green rental e-bikes. Around 1,000 spectators watched after some 100,000 people registered interest. Camtholomew suffered a minor injury but is said to be in 'good spirits'.

Carden said the helmet left him seeing only 'this thin strip of reality'.

Organisers capped the crowd because of the 'potential for chaos'.

Camtholomew admitted: 'We expected the police to shut us down.'
