Lindsay Clancy's lawyer disputes claim she will testify she told doctors of thoughts of killing her three children

Patrick Clancy's lawyer Howard Cooper told a Massachusetts court he expects his ex-wife Lindsay Clancy — the former maternity nurse who strangled her three young children in January 2023 — to testify that she explicitly told her medical providers she had thoughts of killing her kids. Cooper said Lindsay will take the stand once her Fifth Amendment rights are resolved following last month's mistrial. The hearing in Norfolk Superior Court centres on Patrick's wrongful death lawsuit against doctors and nurses who treated Lindsay for postpartum mental health issues.
Lindsay's own lawyer has now disputed the claim she will testify, directly contradicting what Patrick's legal team told the court.
Prosecutors have separately filed a motion asking the judge to let them 'pursue justice for Cora, Dawson, and Callan' — signalling they are pushing for a retrial.
Defendants South Shore Health System and Aster Mental Health deny negligence, arguing Lindsay never told providers about her homicidal thoughts, only her husband and mother.
