Lithuania blames Russia for a failed arson attack on a company storing Starlink equipment, calling it 'hybrid war' sabotage

Saboteurs attempted to set fire to Starlink hardware — satellite dishes and a control unit — leaving containers of incendiary liquid ranging from three to 10 litres at the site. Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius said the Lithuanian company had received advance warning from authorities and bolstered its security measures, causing the attack to fall short. 'It is the Russian side,' he told LRT radio. Authorities have since launched an investigation.

Sinkevičius warned that 'similar actions' are being repeated across Europe.

Elon Musk's Starlink has been vital to Ukraine's drones and military communications since 2022.

Zelensky claimed this week's Starlink disruption was deliberate, which the White House and Rubio denied.
