Little Mix's Perrie Edwards turns down Columbia deal to launch fresh start with new management team

Perrie Edwards has severed ties with both Sony Music and Modest Management after more than 15 years, declining a Columbia Records deal for her second solo album in order to make a clean break. The 33-year-old has joined Various Artists Management, home to Melanie C and Tom Grennan, and is already assembling her team ahead of album two.

A source says Edwards departed with 'an even clearer sense of the artist she wants to be and the creative direction she wants to explore next.'

Her self-titled debut reached number three in the UK charts last year and yielded her first solo top-ten single, 'Forget About Us.'

She had already hinted at the shift, calling recent single 'Passenger Princess' the final chapter of her debut solo era.
