Liverpool drug gang that wrapped drugs in Pokémon Go packaging is jailed for a total of 60 years

Craig Clifton, 40, of no fixed address, led the south Liverpool organised crime group for seven years, running three drug lines — one with 877 contacts and an annual earning potential of £1 million.

Clifton, who breached a suspended sentence order, showed no reaction as he was jailed for 18 years; his 'right-hand man' Sam Murphy, 34, received 12 years.

Robert McGregor, 44, got eight years; Francis Stewart, 25, Connor Whittle, 29, and Joshua De-Asha, 34, each received six years; Dylan McPartland, 28, was jailed for four.

Drugs were found wrapped in Pokémon Go branded packaging — a detail that emerged when raids finally shut down the operation after it ran from 2018 to 2025.
