Liz Truss is brutally mocked online after unveiling 'Bank Job' book blaming the Bank of England for her downfall

Liz Truss posted a pre-order link for her book on X, and users turned it into 'Lettuce Job: how to outlast a lettuce'. Another user renamed it 'w**k job'. The mockery lands four years to the day since she resigned, three weeks after a mini-budget that sent bond markets into turmoil. The book is due out on Monday 26 October.

The cover shows Truss in Reservoir Dogs style, flanked by Andrew Bailey, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

Truss is expected to blame the Bank of England, the Treasury and the OBR for her fall.

The book will be published just two days before next week's Budget.
