London engineer, 24, makes £700 a month on the side cleansing 'haunted' homes for up to £350 a time

Kofi Masdammer, 24, an audio-visual engineer from New Cross, London, teaches himself spiritual cleansing techniques through yoga and meditation and charges up to £350 per visit to rid homes of what clients believe are haunting presences. He earns up to £700 a month from the side hustle, which he started at 18 by cleansing his own family home after researching the area's World War II bombing history.

Clients describe their homes feeling 'lighter' after Kofi's rituals, with many saying they had accepted the activity as a permanent fixture of their lives before seeking his help.

Kofi started out on Airtasker installing sound systems for around £50 a job before pivoting to paranormal cleansing after graduating in 2022.

He believes those bombed in the area 'left their bodies in a state of shock' and became trapped, which he says explains the disturbances his clients report.
