London paramedics face sexual abuse 'almost daily' as shocking CCTV footage exposes 462 incidents in a year

Nearly two-thirds of women working on London ambulances have experienced unwanted sexual behaviour from patients or their relatives, the London Ambulance Service has revealed, releasing CCTV and body-camera footage to expose the scale of the abuse. The LAS recorded 462 incidents in the 12 months to July 2026, with paramedics enduring groping and sexual violence; close to a third of emergency call handlers also reported sexual harassment. LAS chief executive Jason Killens warned the behaviour disrupts emergency care and risks delaying help reaching other patients.

Paramedic Gosha Graf was groped by a patient who, she later learned, had committed a sexual assault against a fellow paramedic earlier that same day before refusing treatment — the man was jailed for 18 weeks for sexual assault in March.

The LAS has launched its 'We Show up. Show some respect' campaign, releasing footage of patients making explicit comments and demands for physical contact while being treated inside ambulances.

Among frontline staff who reported unwanted sexual behaviour, more than one in five said incidents had occurred on at least three separate occasions within a single year.
