Lorry driver who killed teen motorcyclist Zebedee Watson, 17, walks free with suspended sentence
Zebedee Watson, whose family say CCTV shows he was riding responsibly and legally when a lorry driver killed him, with the driver now walking free on a suspended sentence.
Paul Graham, a 56-year-old lorry driver from Stoborough, has walked free from Weymouth Magistrates' Court with a six-month sentence suspended for 18 months after killing 17-year-old motorcyclist Zebedee Watson at Poole's Holes Bay North Roundabout. Sentenced for causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving, he was also given 100 hours of community service and an 18-month driving ban.
Nine days before the crash, Zeb passed his driving test first time, eager to drive his own car.
Studying plumbing at college, he laboured for his uncle, wanting to 'build a secure future for himself'.
Proudly the 'man of the house', Zeb leaves a heartbroken sister, 16, and a four-year-old brother.
