Lottery bosses hunt Tameside's missing millionaire, who has until 28 December to claim a £1m jackpot from the July draw

A £1 million National Lottery jackpot bought in Tameside, Greater Manchester, during the 1 July draw remains unclaimed with less than two months left before it expires. Operator Allwyn has launched a public appeal urging anyone in the area to dig out old tickets and check the numbers: 5, 8, 26, 33, 39, 42, Bonus Ball 54.
The six-month claim window closes at midnight on 28 December, after which the prize is lost.
Andy Carter of Allwyn warned the ticket 'could be tucked away somewhere completely ordinary while its owner has absolutely no idea they are a millionaire.'
A separate £12 million unclaimed ticket bought in Rhondda Cynon Taf in June is also being urgently hunted by the National Lottery.
