Jack Fincham, who was already subject to a driving ban running until 2029, was taken to a police station for questioning on 26 October after his car struck a wall in Sidcup.

Jack Fincham, 35, whose Audi TT ploughed into a brick wall between two bungalows in Sidcup, south-east London, on September 20, was detained close to the crash site after the impact damaged two trees and triggered the car's airbags. A witness said he was "stumbling around" before walking away as officers approached; he was already subject to a driving ban running until 2029.

According to a source, Fincham was taken to a police station for questioning on October 26 but no charges have been brought.

The incident occurred less than a year after Fincham completed a £32,000 rehab stint in Merseyside; reports suggest he had spent the evening at a nearby pub following an addiction support meeting.

The owner of the wall says Fincham apologised and offered to pay the £2,000 repair bill.
