Low-alcohol beer brand Lucky Saint has pulled its 0.5% Hazy IPA from shelves after the Food Standards Agency raised concerns that some cans may be over-pressurised and could burst without warning. The recalled product is a four-pack of 330ml cans bearing a best-before date of August 2027, sold at retailers including Tesco. Shoppers are advised not to open or drink the beer and to avoid taking cans back to stores. Lucky Saint is offering full refunds on proof of purchase.

The FSA confirmed 'there is a risk that the cans may explode which may cause injury' — a warning it issues only when a product poses a genuine consumer risk.

Anyone with the affected cans should minimise handling, stand them upright inside a sealed bag and dispose of them with ordinary household rubbish.
