Robber is jailed for 13 years after a machete fell from his trousers as police tasered him in Nottingham McDonald's

Theo Gottshalk, 20, of Forest Fields, was handed an extended 13-year sentence at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday. He had robbed a teenager of his phone, a bracelet and a chain on Woolpack Lane, Nottingham. A bus passenger spotted him and alerted police, who chased him into the Clumber Street McDonald's. The red-handled machete he was carrying matched the description provided by his victim.
Gottshalk also admitted two further robberies in Birmingham, in 2023 and 2024.
Police discovered a converted blank-firing pistol on him in November 2023.
DC Ben Grayson: he 'appears to think he can take what he wants'.
