Charles Egonye, 19, of Wulfstan Street, East Acton, and a 17-year-old from Southall are due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Wednesday after being charged with murder. Kariem Abdelhalim, 24, was found critically injured on North Pole Road, North Kensington, at 1.20am on 25 September and pronounced dead shortly after. Detectives believe he was riding his e-bike while being pursued by a moped moments before the fatal collision.

Police initially treated the North Pole Road scene as a hit-and-run before arresting both suspects on Monday 28 September.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil John urged anyone with information to call 101, quoting reference 414/25SEP, saying details 'could be vital'.

The 17-year-old boy cannot be named for legal reasons; Kariem's family are being supported by specialist officers.
