Man, 22, appears in court is charged with stabbing 17-year-old to death in Glasgow

Jack Dragsnes, 22, of Possilpark, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday charged with murdering Jack Mellon after allegedly drawing a knife during a stand-up fight and stabbing him repeatedly. Dragsnes, who made no plea, was remanded in custody by Sheriff Iain Fleming and is due back in court within eight days. He faces two further charges: attempting to conceal or destroy the knife, and carrying a blade in a public place.
Court papers allege Dragsnes attacked Mellon and a 16-year-old boy on Ashgill Road, Milton, on October 14, stabbing Mellon multiple times in the body.
Jack's brother James led tributes online: 'A part of my heart has gone with you — you were more than just my brother.'
James has invited family and friends to gather at Hamiltonhill Park on Sunday at 6:30pm to mark Jack's memory with a balloon release and fireworks.
