Man, 22, appears in Glasgow court charged with stabbing 17-year-old to death in Milton street fight

Jack Dragsnes, of Possilpark, made no plea at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday and was remanded in custody by Sheriff Iain Fleming. Court papers allege he produced a knife during a stand-up fight involving Jack Mellon and a 16-year-old boy and stabbed Mellon repeatedly in the body. Dragsnes also faces a charge of hiding the knife with intent to pervert the course of justice, along with possession of a blade in a public place.
Mellon was pronounced dead at the scene on Ashgill Road in Milton on Wednesday evening after emergency services were called to reports of a disturbance.
Dragsnes must return to court within eight days; he was represented at Friday's private hearing by lawyer Ian Sievwright.
'A part of my heart has gone with you,' Mellon's brother James wrote online, inviting family and friends to a balloon release at Hamiltonhill Park on Sunday evening.
