Man, 26, is charged with murder and attempted murder after a woman was stabbed to death in Manchester
Lawrence Johnson, 26, of Dorking Avenue, is accused of killing Alisha Samuels, also 26, on that same street on Thursday 15 October. A man was also attacked in the incident, leading to the attempted murder charge. Johnson has been remanded in custody and is due before Manchester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. Greater Manchester Police is urging anyone with CCTV, phone or doorbell footage to come forward.
Det Ch Insp Justin Bryant: 'We have now charged a man, but our investigation is not over.'
Detectives say they are still working to give Alisha's family 'some answers'.
Police want information from witnesses, 'no matter how small'.
