Man, 36, is flown back from Turkey and arrested over 'double murder' at Moss Side lockdown party SIX YEARS on

A 36-year-old man detained in Turkey has been flown to England and arrested on suspicion of murdering Cheriff Tall, 21, and father-of-three Abayomi 'Junior' Ajose, 36, who were shot dead at an illegal pandemic party in June 2020. Greater Manchester Police met the suspect at Stansted Airport on Saturday; he remains in custody. Officers say a £50,000 reward still stands for anyone with information leading to a conviction.
Around 400 people attended the 'spontaneous' car park party in Moss Side, held hours after a Black Lives Matter protest, with a DJ and PA system.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Higginson said the arrest shows 'unwavering commitment' to justice but warned the investigation is 'far from over'.
Police believe some of the hundreds of revellers that night hold 'crucial' eyewitness accounts and are urging anyone who has not yet spoken to officers to come forward.
