Man, 38, killed in knife attack on Dublin footpath may have been targeted over an alleged row last week

Gardaí found a man in his 30s with serious injuries on Blackhorse Place, off Blackhorse Avenue in Dublin 7, at some point between 2am and 3.30am on Sunday. He was brought to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where he subsequently died. Investigators believe a knife or other bladed weapon was used, and a manhunt for those responsible remains underway.

Sinn Féin councillor Séamas McGrattan: 'Knife crime has become a real problem in our city.'

Detectives are appealing for dashcam footage from the area, and the State Pathologist is set to carry out a post-mortem.
