Man arrested near Florida Democrat Jared Moskowitz's home after 'threatening' his life

A threatening voicemail was left Thursday at Moskowitz's congressional office on Sample Road in Coral Springs, and law enforcement traced it back to the caller. Moskowitz praised the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for its swift response. This is the second time in two years that someone has been arrested near his home over a death threat against him.

In 2024 John Lapinski was apprehended nearby carrying a rifle, body armour and an antisemitic manifesto.

Lapinski received a 25-year sentence; a judge described him as "plain evil."

Moskowitz, who is Jewish, says police now guard his house 24 hours a day.
