West Midlands Police has issued a conditional caution to a man following assaults on protesters at Reform UK's National Conference at Birmingham's NEC on 4 September. Video footage showed audience members grabbing a protester's face, pulling her hair and striking her with a walking stick as activists were ejected. Police also voluntarily interviewed two further men, and the force is urging additional victims to come forward.
The protesters had disrupted Nigel Farage's speech four times before being removed by security.
A conditional caution is an admission of guilt, and can carry conditions including a fine, reparations or rehabilitation.
West Midlands Police says its inquiry into several assaults is ongoing, and is asking anyone with information to contact them quoting log 1106 of 3 September.
