Man is jailed for three years after raiding Ann Summers and leaving DNA on a vape at another burglary scene
Jason Kamal, 48, of no fixed address, was sentenced to three years in prison at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday after breaking into an Ann Summers store in Nottingham city centre in the early hours of 14 August and making off with £12,059 in lingerie and sex toys. Despite appearing clearly on CCTV, Kamal initially denied having entered the shop. A second burglary — at a phone shop in Arnold — caught up with him after he abandoned a vape bearing his DNA at the scene and was found using one of the stolen handsets.
Accomplice Ashley Hillsley, 21, claimed he was 'bullied into the burglary' and told he would no longer be a 'nobody'.
