Dragged along the floor of the Giltbrook store in Nottinghamshire, the staff member still managed to halt the rider and bring him back inside with roughly £200 of children's clothes, before a struggle broke out and he escaped. The suspect had ridden the e-bike into the shop at around 11.45am on Sunday 1 November, picked up the clothing and tried to leave without paying.

'Nobody should ever be subjected to something like this,' says PC Luke Cutts of Nottinghamshire Police.

'Completely unacceptable' is how Nottinghamshire Police's PC Luke Cutts says such behaviour will always be viewed.

Violence and aggression, says PC Luke Cutts of Nottinghamshire Police, turned suspected shop theft into robbery.
