Marco Pierre White says he stopped speaking to Gordon Ramsay for years over TV cameras at his wedding
Chef Marco Pierre White, 64, has ended decades of speculation by revealing it was Gordon Ramsay bringing a TV camera crew to his 2000 wedding to then-wife Mati Conejero that caused their years-long silence. White dismissed every other rumoured cause — overcooked fish, a steamer incident, anger over Ramsay leaving Harvey's — flatly: "Lies."
White confirmed Ramsay did cry on his final shift at Harvey's in 1989, saying simply: 'Gordon cracked.'
White personally arranged Ramsay's move to Le Gavroche, asking: 'Why would I f*** up his job if he was leaving?'
Ramsay, 59, once called White 'a little bit sad'; the pair have since reunited alongside Heston Blumenthal for a new documentary.
