Marco Rubio heads to India's Jamnagar, home of the world's largest refinery, to push Venezuelan oil on Ambani's Reliance

Rubio called India a 'refining superpower' in Mumbai on Tuesday, saying it can handle heavy crude as more Venezuelan oil comes online. Washington is also pressing New Delhi to cut its dependence on Russian oil and buy more American energy. The trip comes despite attacks by President Donald Trump that have strained ties. A US official says a bilateral trade deal is close.
'Countries fight wars over energy,' Rubio warned, pointing to threats in Hormuz and the Red Sea.
Rubio held talks with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on the Middle East and energy.
Gautam Adani's US bribery and fraud charges were dropped in August after he offered billions in investment.
