Martin Freeman secretly marries actress Rachel Benaissa, 32, after six years together as she shows off her ring

Rachel Benaissa revealed the couple's marriage by debuting a diamond engagement ring at the London premiere of Freeman's new film 'The Long Winter' on Wednesday. Freeman, 55, wore a gold wedding band at the same event, with a representative confirming the news. The pair began dating in 2020 and quietly tied the knot earlier this year.

Benaissa, a French actress known for BBC's 'Normal People' and 'This Way Up', has formed a close bond with Freeman's two children from his 16-year relationship with actress Amanda Abbington.

Freeman shares daughter Grace, 21, and son Joe, 18, with Abbington, from whom he split in 2016.

Freeman once described Benaissa on the 'Table Manners' podcast as 'a massive cheese and wine w****' — adding: 'She says that about herself.'
