Masked gang shoots Canadian CEO and his two daughters and strikes his wife with a hammer in Toronto mansion raid

Mac Group CEO David Morton and his daughters Maggie and Cristina Zohil-Morton were shot, while his wife Doriana Zohil was beaten with a hammer, after three masked men broke into their gated Hyde Park Circle mansion in Toronto's Bridle Path at around 3.45am. Two of the four family members have life-altering injuries; the other two face severe but non-life-threatening harm.

The attackers demanded 'nice things' before a struggle broke out and they fired multiple times.

Morton and one daughter were reportedly shot in the leg, the other in the arm, and all four were also struck in the head with a hammer.

The three masked men fled in an SUV; police are unsure whether they escaped with any valuables.
