Massachusetts prosecutors plan to retry Lindsay Clancy for killing her three children after a lone holdout juror forced a mistrial

Lindsay Clancy, 36, is on suicide watch and has told her lawyer she has "horrible dreams" and wants to be with her dead children. Prosecutors have confirmed they plan to retry her but declined to specify what charges they will bring. The Plymouth Superior Court hearing turned contentious when defence attorney Kevin Reddington publicly identified holdout juror Michael Desronvil by name, leading Judge William Sullivan to order him to refer to the man only as "Juror Doe" — to which Reddington retorted "No, you're not" when told to stop.
The jury voted 11-1 to acquit Clancy; she strangled her three children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months — using exercise cords in January 2023.
Her defence team is seeking dismissal on double jeopardy grounds, claiming Desronvil used a mobile phone during deliberations and was not truthful during jury selection.
If a retrial is ordered, it could get under way in March 2027; because Judge Sullivan must retire next year, Reddington's push for a spring date carries added weight.
