Mattel boss Ynon Kreiz named co-CEO of Paramount as judge clears the way for Warner Bros merger

Ynon Kreiz is leaving his role as Mattel's chief executive to become co-CEO of Paramount Skydance alongside chairman David Ellison, with the two sharing oversight of the merged company's day-to-day business. A US judge has approved Paramount's antitrust settlement with state attorneys general, removing the last legal obstacle to closing the Warner Bros Discovery merger. The combined entity will bring together Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros, Paramount+ and HBO Max, and the TV networks CBS and CNN.

Kreiz, 60, will manage daily operations while Ellison concentrates on strategy and technology.
