Maya Jama has personally shut down speculation that she has rekindled her romance with rapper Stormzy, after fans spotted her following him on Instagram again and sharing a clip of herself singing along to his track 'One Second'. The Love Island presenter, 32, responded directly on X, writing: 'I like the song. We have always been friends. No one is back together, rest with the theories.' The pair have split twice — first in 2019 after five years together, then again in July 2024 after a brief 2023 rekindling.

Fans were sent into 'detective mode' after Maya posted herself lip-syncing in a car to Stormzy's lyric: 'Give me just one second of your time.'

One amused fan called her response the definitive playbook: 'And that's how you shut down a rumour.'

Maya split from Manchester City star Ruben in May after 18 months together, just four months after they moved in together.
