Meghan cut ties with designer after his office accidentally emailed Kate's stylist asking for her loaned dresses back, memoir claims

French designer Roland Mouret makes the claim in his memoir, 'I Am Roland Mouret', saying the Duchess of Sussex phoned him in a fury once the mix-up revealed she had been quietly borrowing his clothes. 'You don't realise what you've done! You've embarrassed me,' she allegedly told him. He says she rejected his apology. She then reportedly declared she could never wear his designs again.

Mouret says Meghan told him about Harry before the romance went public.

He later messaged her that a cheap copy of his design looked 'ridiculous'.

A representative for the Duchess of Sussex declined to comment on the claims.
