Meghan is 'reading a lot of scripts' and public appearances will be 'relatively rare' as she prepares for Nottingham return

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is set to join Prince Harry for a day of engagements in Nottingham on Thursday — her first public appearance in Britain since Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in 2022. Her focus reportedly lies firmly on family, her lifestyle brand As Ever, and rebooting her acting career, with joint outings expected only 'a handful of times a year'. Her diary is reportedly already 'full' with the children, As Ever and acting leaving little room for charity work.

Meghan is reportedly 'reading a lot of scripts' and is described not as a working royal but as 'a full-time mother and entrepreneur'.

The Nottingham visit — where the couple made their first joint engagement after getting engaged in 2017 — takes in three charitable organisations including Community Recording Studio and food poverty group Himmah Hub.

Commentator Amanda Platell called the return a 'cunning plan' to win Britain back, saying: 'They may think it's cunning. But it won't work.'
