Meghan is 'upset' that the Met never alerted other police forces to a 2019 letter accusing her father
Scotland Yard admitted it received the letter in January 2019 and handed it only to the Sussexes' office, never to any other force. A friend says the Duchess believes officers 'had the opportunity' to pass it on 'but chose not to'. The Met is now considering referring itself to the IOPC watchdog. Thomas Markle Sr, 82, denies the claims and calls them 'sick lies'.
Former royal protection chief Dai Davies: 'I'm gobsmacked the Met didn't inform US authorities.'
Philippine police are investigating images Thomas Markle Jr handed over from his father's home.
Meghan's spokesman concedes she 'may have been mistaken by a few months' over the dates.
