Meghan Markle has been confirmed as co-host of the revived Junior MasterChef Australia, filming in Melbourne alongside Poh Ling Yeow in early to mid-2027.

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, will co-host Junior MasterChef Australia in 2027 alongside MasterChef judge Poh Ling Yeow, with filming set to run over several weeks in Melbourne. The announcement comes after her guest appearance on the adult series in April 2026, which attracted the programme's biggest Sunday audience since 2023. Executive producer Marty Benson said he sent a 'press send and pray' email to recruit her at a moment when global opinion had turned sharply against her over her cancelled Netflix show.

Meghan described returning as 'an easy yes', adding she loves cooking with her own kids and can't wait to see young talent in the kitchen.

Prince Harry and their two children — Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5 — may travel to Melbourne to be with Meghan during the shoot.

TV insiders believe the Junior MasterChef role could open doors for Meghan to front UK shows.
