Meghan's sweatshirt, designed in collaboration between the Archewell Foundation and Moms Offering More to support mothers, sold out within hours of launching at $100 (£75) each. The Duchess also donated a full day's net profits from her As Ever jams and teas to the Malala Fund to mark International Day of the Girl. The charity push follows Meghan's first public London outing since returning to the UK — afternoon tea with Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai at Claridge's, where tea costs £95 a head. Harry and Meghan are to visit Nottingham together on Thursday in their first royal-style engagement since relocating.

Meghan and Malala shared a joint Instagram statement: 'When we support the girls of today, we empower the women of tomorrow.'

The Claridge's meeting, initially spotted by fellow diners and filmed, had sparked intense speculation before Sunday's International Day of the Girl announcement made the purpose clear.

Harry and Lilibet and Archie have also been spotted out together in a UK park, signalling the family's growing public presence back in Britain.
