Meghan is 'deeply distressed' by child sex abuse image claims against father Thomas Markle, who calls them 'sick lies'
The 2018 letter to Scotland Yard's royal protection unit made 'troubling and disturbing allegations', and Meghan was assured they were being investigated. The Philippines Department of Justice is now investigating 'an American national in his 80s'. Thomas Markle Sr, 82, dismisses the claims as 'sick lies' that his son fabricated for financial gain. The FBI is reportedly weighing its own probe.
Half-brother Thomas Markle Jr, 60, claims he found the material in four boxes in Cebu.
Markle Sr insists: 'I have never downloaded anything like that in my life.'
Meghan said she 'trusted that the authorities were doing the same for other families.'
