Meghan says she was told 2018 allegations against her father 'were being investigated', but the Met says it NEVER was

Meghan Markle, 45, says a 2018 letter, passed to her by royal protection officers weeks after her wedding, is why she never let Thomas Markle Sr meet Archie and Lilibet. Scotland Yard is now making internal inquiries into those officers' role. Her half-brother Thomas Markle Jr claims he found child abuse images at the 82-year-old's former home in Cebu. Thomas Sr denies it, calling the claims 'sick lies'.

Cebu City police in the Philippines are investigating, and the FBI has also been contacted.

Half-sister Samantha Markle accuses Thomas Jr of inventing the claims for money.

Meghan said: 'I trusted that the authorities were doing the same for other families.'
