Meghan says she cut off father Thomas Markle to protect her children after police shared 'disturbing allegations' in 2018
Thomas Markle Sr, 82, is under investigation in the Philippines after his son Thomas Markle Jr, 60, reported discovering 'hundreds, if not thousands' of alleged child abuse images in boxes at his former Cebu home. Markle Sr has denied the allegations, dismissing them as 'sick lies'. The Duchess of Sussex described herself as 'deeply distressed' and said she had trusted the authorities to protect 'other families' too.
The FBI is reportedly set to open its own inquiry into Markle Sr, who currently resides in the US.
According to reports, his son came across the boxes while Markle Sr was in the US receiving treatment for a stroke.
Meghan: what has been uncovered is 'more sickening than one could ever imagine'.
