A University of Illinois-Chicago student reportedly lost consciousness at an Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity party in Hyde Park and, when she came round, found a man engaged in a sex act with her while her clothing had been removed. Her friend Mia Lara, 21, had found a crowd of men outside the locked bathroom door making comments including "When's it my turn?" and "I want to go in there." Lara forced her way in shortly before 2am and found her friend on the floor with her wrists held, shouting "Make it stop."

The University of Chicago has identified and campus-banned a person of interest who is not a student or affiliated with the university, but no charges have been filed.

As Lara tried to force the bathroom door open, one of the men outside reportedly grabbed her by the hair to stop her entering.

When Lara later confronted the suspect outside the house, he allegedly told her: 'She wanted to.'
