Met admits it passed child abuse claims about Meghan's father to the Sussexes in 2019 but told NO other police

Scotland Yard is examining how it handled the case and considering whether to refer itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct. The letter, dated January 2019, was routed to the Met's Protection Command because it raised security concerns relating to the Duchess of Sussex. Philippine police are now investigating allegations that Thomas Markle Sr, 82, possessed child abuse images, said to have been discovered by his son Thomas Markle Jr. Markle denies the claims, dismissing them as 'sick lies'.

Meghan's spokesman says she 'may have been mistaken by a few months' in dating the letter to 2018.

The IOPC says the Met has not yet contacted it.

Meghan says she cut off her father to protect Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five.
