Met admits it gave Meghan a 2019 letter of abuse claims about her father but did NOT alert other police

The January 2019 letter went to the Met's Protection Command over fears for the Duchess of Sussex's security. Scotland Yard is now reviewing its handling and considering referring itself to the IOPC, which says it has not yet been contacted. Meghan's spokesman says she may have been "mistaken by a few months" in dating it to 2018. Thomas Markle Sr, 82, denies the claims, calling them "sick lies".

Half-brother Thomas Markle Jr reported the alleged images to Philippine police and the FBI.

Meghan says she barred her father from seeing Archie and Lilibet "to protect them".

A child-abuse taskforce in Cebu is investigating, according to Philippine official Nicholas Ty.
