Met Police admits it passed a 2019 letter about Meghan's father to the Sussexes but NEVER told other forces

Scotland Yard is now considering referring itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which says the Met has not yet contacted it. The letter, containing claims of alleged offending abroad, reached the Met's Protection Command in January 2019 as a security concern for the Duchess of Sussex. Officers only forwarded it to her office 'for their awareness'. Meghan said she had been assured the claims were being investigated.

Philippine police are investigating Thomas Markle Sr, 82, over alleged child abuse images.

Markle denies the allegations and has called them 'sick lies'.

Meghan's spokesman says she 'may have been mistaken by a few months' in dating the letter to 2018.
