Michael Douglas says Jack Nicholson, 89, 'will never act again' and is 'walking around in his slippers' at home

Michael Douglas, 82, shut down lingering hopes of a Jack Nicholson comeback while promoting his memoir 'One Helluva Ride' at the Swansea Building Society Arena on Monday — in his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones' hometown. Douglas, who produced Nicholson's Oscar-winning 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' in 1975, said the pair never got to act together on screen and now never will. Nicholson's last film role was in the 2010 rom-com 'How Do You Know', and his most recent on-screen appearance was introducing Adam Sandler at the SNL 50th anniversary special last year.
Friends now fear the three-time Oscar winner will 'die a recluse' after he barely leaves his Beverly Hills mansion.
Hopes had been raised last year when director James L. Brooks said he was 'sure we'll be seeing' Nicholson act again.
Nicholson dropped out of a planned 2017 remake of 'Toni Erdmann' alongside Kristen Wiig, derailing the project entirely.
