Mikel Arteta said he was 'not the right person' to answer questions on the redundancies, after which Arsenal prevented him from taking further questions. Catering and travel staff face the axe, while first-team coaches are unaffected. The redundancies follow a review by Boston Consulting Group, overseen by managing director Richard Garlick. Arsenal posted record revenues of £691million in 2024/25 but still lost £1.4m.

It is the seventh consecutive year the club has recorded a loss.
