Mikel Arteta defends hooking Eberechi Eze at half-time as Ian Wright says the Arsenal star must be 'devastated'
Noni Madueke came on for Eberechi Eze at half-time and netted the winning goal in the 80th minute as Arsenal edged Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground. Eze had broken his scoring duck for the season in midweek against Lille. Mikel Arteta explained that his team needed 'fresh legs, a different profile' to unlock Forest's defence. Cameras caught the £60m signing sitting slumped in the dugout as the second half unfolded.
Eze has scored and assisted just once in nine games this season.
Wright said Eze looks 'isolated' on the left and should 'just have a go'.
Eze is unlikely to start Arsenal's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
