Millions of Revolut customers have cards declined at the till after a Google Cloud 'power event' in London
Revolut customers had their cards declined at shop tills and could not move money after a failure at Google's London cloud hub, which began late on Monday. Courts across England and Wales lost the video link used by defendants in custody, and hearings were delayed. The Financial Conduct Authority has contacted Google for answers. Google says services began returning around 1pm.
Downdetector logged more than 1,500 Revolut complaints shortly after 8am on Tuesday.
HSBC, Halifax, Royal Mail, DPD, NHS England and Gov.UK also reported problems.
One stranded customer wrote: 'I'm in Greece on holiday. Revolut not working on three accounts.'
