Minnesota man who jumped onto a runaway school bus to save nearly 20 children credits Grey's Anatomy for his courage
Ebro Ahmed, 27, has no medical training but says the TV drama taught him to stay calm: 'In Grey's Anatomy, you never see doctors panic.' A local nonprofit has handed him a $1,000 cheque for his bravery. He was outside Bricks Snacks and Tobacco in St Paul on Monday when the Battle Creek Middle School bus rolled past with its doors open. The driver was having a seizure.
Ahmed threw the bus into reverse by accident before finding neutral and the parking brake.
He tossed his phone and glasses to a girl to hold while he worked.
'Even if I were to die, it would still be worth it,' Ahmed said.
