Miranda Hart says her body went into 'shock' at her Celebrity Traitors TV return after 10 years battling ME

Miranda Hart, 53, told This Morning hosts Dermot O'Leary and Sian Welby that filming Celebrity Traitors marked her first major television appearance since her sitcom ended in 2015, after years spent largely bed-bound and unable to leave the house at the height of her illness.

Hart said ME, which was triggered by Lyme Disease, left her unable to walk around her local park at her worst point.

She grew particularly emotional when fellow contestant Joe left the show, saying the pair 'played and connected' throughout filming.

Her words about the power of friendship during suffering have since become a viral voiceover trend on social media.
