Miranda Hart, who feared she would never have 'a gentle walk' again, wheelbarrows a giant stone head on Celebrity Traitors

Miranda Hart, 53, was left housebound and bedbound for years after her sitcom Miranda ended in 2015. She lives with ME and Lyme disease, which she believes she caught aged 14 in Virginia. The BBC show's mission had stars wheelbarrowing Easter Island-style heads up a rainy Scottish hillside. She also broke down in tears as she said goodbye to her banished friend Joe Lycett.

Hart said life during her sitcom's run felt like 'wading through treacle'.

She described her years away from the spotlight as living 'a half life'.

Before filming, she joked that fellow contestants could 'carry me up a hill'.
